Shell medium-sized, conical in shape, readi¬ly recognized by its coloration, violet base and tapering body whorl. Spire low and straight with distinct sutures, shoulder angulate. Teleconch sutural ramps flat with fine spiral grooves. Sculpture consists of weak spiral ribs at anterior part of the body whorl. Aperture yellow-white and violet at the anterior end, outer lip thin and smooth. Color orange yellow.
