Porous Cowrie
DESCRIPTION
Somewhat similar to C. albuginosa but heavier and rounder, and extremities less produced. Background rich purple-lilac, darker than in C. albuginosa, with white spots and ocella-tions, but rings are purple instead of red-brown. The color tends to fade quickly after collection.
