Pacific Partridge Tun
DESCRIPTION
Large and very fragile, this shell has whorls which slope markedly at shoulders. The spire is fairly high and the body whorl widely expanded. Impressed suture is not channeled. Umbilicus is partly covered by a thin columellar shield which continues over the parietal wall. Outer lip is slightly thickened but not toothed. Broad, flat spiral ribs are sepparated by shallow grooves. Brown, with cream crescents and dashes between grooves; apperture brownish, outer lip white.
