Orange Mouthed Triton
DESCRIPTION
Shell medium-sized and globular with angular whorls. Sculpture consists of prominent axial ridges and spiral ribs, forming six intervarical nodules on the body whorl. Aperture ovate and white within, outer lip deep orange with seven coarse teeth extending into the aperture. Parietal shield expansive orange-colored and strongly calloused, columella with long ablique folds. Sutures not channeled, siphonal canal long and narrowly open. Color cream-white with brown axial stripes on dorsum. Distribution: Vung Tau, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Conson Island, etc. Size: 45-100 mm
