Orange Auger
DESCRIPTION
This solid, glossy shell is thin enough for light to penetrate easily. When fully grown, it has about 20 almost straight-sided whorls. What appears to be another suture below the well-incised suture is actually just a narrow platform. The early whorls taper to a fine point and have weak vertical ridges; the later whorls have fine growth lines. The aperture is rounded rather than square .
