Nicobar Spindle
DESCRIPTION
Shell medium-sized, fusiform elongate and characterized by brown axial stripes. Spire high with adpressed sutures. Sculpture consists of spiral cords at entire outer surface and axial ridges at early whorls, reducing to strong nodules at shoulders of later whorls. Aperture ovate white and lirate within, outer lip serrate and lirate at inner margin. Parietal wall white and weakly calloused, columella plicate. Siphonal canal long and straight. Color white with brown axial stripes. Distribution: Vung Tau, Khanh Hoa, Phan Rang, Ca Na, Mui Ne, Quang Ngai, etc. Size: 75-180 mm
