Maple Leaf Triton
DESCRIPTION
A thick, compressed, and slightly distorted shell with a tall spire and moderately long siphonal canal. The finlike varices on each side of the whorls are drawn out into points, each point being the termination of a prominent rib. Spiral ribs crossing stronger vertical ribs probuce vertical rows of nodules. Spiral riblets occur between spiral ribs. The aperture is amost circular. White, with brown spiral bands and blotches; aperture white.
