Bonnet
A moderately thick shell with an egg-shaped body whorl and a short, pointed spire. It has a single varix on the opposite side of the shell to the thickened outer lip. Body whorl is smooth and shiny except for the finely incised lines below the suture. Parietal shield is thin, and its upper half is transparent. The apex comprises two or three smooth whorls. There are about 20 sharp-edged teeth on outer lip and columellar folds on lower half of the body whorl. Color pattern on body whorl consists of dark brown blotches that vary in shape but are usually rectangular and appear in five spiral rows. Outer edge of siphonal canal dark brown; outer lip and lower half of parietal shield white.
