Distaff Spindle
DESCRIPTION
Shell medium-sized, fusiform elongate and characterized by rounded whorls and long siphonal canal. Spire high with impressed sutures. Sulpture consists of rounded axial ridges at early whorls and numerous spiral cords on the entire outer surface. Aperture ovate and white, outer lip serrate and lirate at inner margin. Parietal wall erect calloused and white, columella plicate. Color white with brown interspaces of axial ribs at early whorls. Locality:Vung Tau, Khanh Hoa, Phan Thiet, Con Son Island, etc. Size: 75-200 mm
