Turnip Shell Large and easily identified by the pyriform aperture and deep umbilicus. Spire rather low with deeply channeled sutures. Sculpture consists of numerous spiral cords with short hollow spines, spirally arranged on the shoulder. Aperture wide in pink, outer lip screnulate with long lirae at inner margin. Parietal wall and columella pink, smouth and calloused . umbilicus wide and surrounded by a strongly imbricate cord. Color uniformly yellow brown. Size:65-150 mm. Distribution: Nha Trang, Phan Thiet, Quang Ngai, Hue, Ha Tinh, etc.
