Chinese Cowrie
DESCRIPTION
Shell medium-sized, elongate-ovate in shape and and readily recognized by numerous purple dots at both sides. Dorsum with many white rounded spots, base convex. Extremities blunt, labral margin thick and steplike. Labral teeth strong and widely-spaced, columellar teeth shorter and and more numerous with orange interspaces. Color yellow-gray at dorsum and beige at base. This species was named for China.
