Beech Cone
DESCRIPTION
Shell large to very large, broadly and ventri¬cosely conical in shape and ornamented with numerous black dots spirally arranged on the last whorl. Sculpture consists of numerous spiral ribs at base. Shoulder roun¬ded and spire usually low. Aperture wide and white, outer lip smooth and moderately thick. Color yellow, a stubby cone with prominent spiral ridge at base.
